As per the press release: Previously, personnel from constable to special sub-inspector (SSI) had to meet with their reporting officers for approval of their leave applications amidst their hectic workload. They had to enter the approval in their dairies at the Armed Reserve Police unit office after receiving it. CLAPP was implemented in the interest of police officers because it was burdensome for them.
Within three hours, the sanctioning body must process and sanction the leave. If there is a three-hour delay, the matter will be escalated to the superior officer above the sanctioning officer.
There is a specific arrangement for users who do not have access to the internet. They can use enhanced CLAPP V2 and submit an application via text message.
