The new mobile application which was launched by the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) will make bus travel easier and encourage residents to utilise state-run buses, a bus tracking capability via a mobile app has been made available to improve the accuracy of the state-run public transportation service.

TSRTC MD Sajjanar said that TSRTC has created a mobile app called "TSRTC BUS TRACKING" on the Google Play store for bus tracking. This project will assist passengers in knowing the arrival and departure times of buses at various locations around Telangana and neighbouring states where TSRTC services are accessible, allowing passengers to plan their route to minimise unnecessary waiting time at bus stops/stations.

As part of the plan, 96 depots throughout Telangana and 4170 special type buses have been designated for bus tracking implementation and to give customers the Expected Time of Arrival (ETA) of their bus services. He also stated that for the pilot project, 140 buses have been identified, of which 40 AC Pushpak buses from the cantonment and Miyapur-2 depots are being operated to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad on various routes, and 100 long-distance buses from Miyapur-1 and Picket depots are being operated on routes such as Srisailam, Vijayawada, Eluru, Bhadrachalam, Bangalore, and Visakhapatnam will be tracked

All reservation services and special type services from the district, as well as Hyderabad city, will be incorporated to the monitoring app over the next several months. The "TSRTC BUS TRACKING" app will give passengers reliable information on bus arrivals at bus stops near their location.

It also tracks your reservation buses based on Service no. provided in your reservation ticket. It has updated information of schedules and bus routes of TSRTC. The TSRTC BUS TRACKING app improves your experience of Travelling by TSRTC buses by providing you accurate information on bus arrival at the bus stop near you from the vicinity of your home, office, shopping, functions or any other location. It provides better coordination for your travel plan by connecting you to Airport or Railway Stations in your search.
