About Madam Draupadi Murmu - 15th President Of India  Draupadi Murmu (born 20 June 1958) is an Indian politician and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.  Murmu is the second person belonging to a scheduled tribe, to be nominated as a candidate for the post of President of India. She previously served as the ninth Governor of Jharkhand from 2015 to 2021.
