Threads by Facebook-The Fastest-Growing Social Media App in History

Meta's Threads App Hits 100 Million Users in Record 5 Days Meta Platforms' newly launched Twitter-like Threads app has achieved the significant milestone of 100 million sign-ups within a record five days. This is faster than any other social media app in history, including ChatGPT (which took two months), TikTok (which took nine months), and Instagram (which took 30 months). Threads was launched on Wednesday, July 6, 2023, and quickly gained traction among celebrities, politicians, and other newsmakers. The app is designed to be a more personal and intimate way to connect with friends and family, and it allows users to share photos, videos, and stories that are only visible to their close contacts. The rapid growth of Threads is a sign of the growing demand for more private and secure social media platforms. In recent years, there has been a backlash against large social media companies like Facebook and Twitter, which have been criticized for their data collection practices an...

Build your Metaverse and Avatar in Whatsapp in the coming future, know how?

Avatar in Whatsapp in the coming soon along with Metaverse WhatsApp is working on the ability to create an avatar for a future update (WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.16.11).  Avatars, a new way to be yourself on WhatsApp, are on the way. Because of avatars, you may be able to use an avatar as a mask while making video calls (though this will most likely take a long time before it is available to users), and you may also be able to use your avatar as a sticker. The firm is continuing working on avatars in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.16.11 update: specifically, the team is working on a new section to offer the functionality. Meta maintains that as the world is turning digital, there is no better way to join the parade than by constructing a digital mini-self. Avatars have been chosen as the weapon of choice for this purpose. But, is the Avatar concept a step forward, or has it just become an obsession? Meta's newest initiative is to produce customised Avatar covers, which mean...

Searchable Maps In Instagram, what is that?

Instagram's new map tool is similar to Google Maps, but it includes more options. The Instagram business is launching a new searchable and dynamic map experience on Instagram, according to Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta. Users will be able to browse popularly labeled venues nearby and filter location results by certain categories, such as restaurants, cafés, and beauty salons, using the enhanced map experience. “We’re introducing a new searchable map on IG today,” Zuckerberg said in an Instagram story about the announcement. Instagram's map tool became a lot more useful today, with a Google-inspired approach. Instead of merely viewing where a photo was shared, the new Instagram map features searches and filters, enabling users to seek restaurants, attractions, and other hot areas straight in the app. The redesigned map now includes user-tagged articles, stories, and guides, providing an insight into the local scene wherever you search. By tapping on places that have been tagged i...

Meta No Language Left Behind (NLLB), will translate 200 languages

A new AI model from Meta can translate 200 languages, allowing more people to use technology. Our link to the outside world is language. However, because there are hundreds of languages for which there are no high-quality translation technologies, billions of people today are unable to access digital material or take full part in online discussions and communities in their preferred or native languages. For the hundreds of millions of people who speak the many languages of Asia and Africa, this is especially problematic and Meta has a solution for the same. The web is dominated by a few languages, including English, Mandarin, Spanish, and Arabic. Native speakers of these widely spoken languages may take for granted the significance of reading something in their mother tongue. NLLB from Meta will enable more people to read things in their native language, rather than always requiring an intermediary language that frequently misinterprets the sentiment or content. Meta AI researchers cre...
