cVIGIL Apps by Election Commission of India Lets look at a useful phone app called cVIGIL. This app has been released by Election Commission of India Productivity . The app description in Google Play read as, cVIGIL application will allow anyone in the election going state to report violations of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) that comes into effect from the date of announcement of elections. By using this app, citizens can immediately report on incidents of MCC violation within minutes of having witnessed them and without rushing to the office of returning officer. Once the violation is reported, the same is forwarded to the respective Field Unit for investigation.
