The National Scholarships Portal is a one-stop solution for implementing the entire scholarship process – applying for different scholarships, application receipt, processing, sanction and disbursal by different central ministries, state governments and other agencies. The portal is an end-to end solution, right from registration of application by the student to the transfer of money to the bank accounts of students.
This initiative aims at providing a Simplified, Mission oriented, Accountable, Responsive and Transparent (SMART) System for faster and effective applications, quick disposal of scholarships, and the delivery of funds directly into the beneficiaries’ accounts

The National Scholarships Portal has been developed under an initiative by PMO to remove impediments for expeditious disbursement of scholarships.

- Provides a common portal for various scholarship schemes in the centre and the states/UTs.

- Avoids duplication and leakages in processing.

- SMS alerts at various stages of verification.
