Introducing Vikaspedia

(India’s own Wikipedia)

Hon'ble Prime Minister of India (Mr. Modi) in most of his speeches refers to Make in India, Made for India, Made by India.

Though there is no numbers publicly available to quantity it how much has been Made in India, but there has been good improvement in the UI to the government website and portal. It's amazing to see the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Hyderabad and Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) team have changed to look and feel of it.

Prime Minister was also referring about, the number of Indian working Google, however we are yet to invent something great like Google.

I think people have taken these words seriously and now we are seeing good products/ portal created or enhanced for servicing the citizens.

The portal has been developed as part of the national level initiative - India Development Gateway (InDG), dedicated for providing information / knowledge and ICT based knowledge products and services in the domain of social development for our fellow citizens.
