Snap announced the formal launch of Snapchat for Web on Monday, bringing the basic functionality of the mobile app to the web. The new online version works similarly to the smartphone app, allowing users to exchange snaps and messages as well as communicate via video or normal conversations.

The finest of Snapchat's calling and messaging features will be available on the web! Open Chrome, go to web.snapchat.com, and start a call or pick up right where your mobile chats left off. Snapchat for Web will have all of our favourite features, such as Chat Reactions, Chat Replies, and Lenses, which will be available shortly. So, turn on your laptop and dial your best pal... Snapchat is now accessible on the web.

“With more than 100 million Snapchatters using our voice and video calling each month on average, we’re excited to offer a new way for our community to keep conversations going on their computers, where they’re already working, learning, and browsing. Over 332 million people worldwide use Snapchat every day to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together. We’ve always enjoyed creating new features for our community, and historically we’ve tested new features in different ways, rolling them out to various Snapchatters and geographies,” Team Snap shared.

The new Snapchat for Web also contains popular messaging features like as Chat Reactions and Chat Reply, as well as Lenses, which will be available shortly. What are you waiting for, go and Open your laptop and type web.snapchat.com to view the new Snapchat for the Web. Log in with your Snapchat account's username and password. Connecting to the web, like other messaging applications, allows you to continue conversations initiated on mobile. To show that you're using the app through the web, your Bitmoji will appear in the chat icons with a laptop.

Open your laptop and type web.snapchat.com

To use the new function, you must also have a Snapchat+ membership. Snapchat+ is a new premium membership service that allows customers access to a variety of exclusive, experimental, and pre-release features available in the app. Snap has always been clear about its aspirations to spread its service to new nations.

All Snapchat+ customers in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada, as well as Snapchatters in Australia and New Zealand, may now access the new Snapchat for Web. The new function is also planned to serve the worldwide community in the near future.
