What is on Today's Google Homepage? India Independence Day 2023

Google Doodle Celebrates - India Independence Day | 15 August Today's Doodle is a celebration of India's Independence Day. It was drawn by Namrata Kumar, a guest artist from New Delhi. On this day in 1947, India got rid of British rule and started a new era.  A ceremony is held every year at Red Fort in Delhi, where the Prime Minister is present, to mark the first day of freedom. People sing the national anthem and honor the people who led the fight for freedom. Movies about freedom fighters are shown on TV, and in schools and neighborhoods, children take part in plays and games as part of cultural events. Many people choose to spend this holiday with their families, friends, and neighbors. Flying kites on Independence Day has been a custom for a long time, so don't forget to look up and spot a few tricolor kites flying high in the sky. Happy Independence Day to all my fellow citizens! When she was young, she loved music and dreamed of becoming a singer. Her vocal cords, on the other hand, weren't made for that, so she moved from singing to whistling tunes. When her father heard her whistling in tune, he borrowed an oud, which is like a lute but has a thinner neck and no frets, so Asma could practice.  She learned herself how to play the oud by remembering songs she had heard and by listening to music. Her father was one of the few people who supported her music business from the start. At that time, it was not publicly acceptable for women in Sudan to make music, so ...
